The problem with heating a greenhouse is that you may get cold spots in the lower corners of the greenhouse if the current of air does not reach there.To prevent this from happening, you have to set the temperature of the heater higher than it otherwise would need to be.

However, then a large proportion of the warmth goes up into the top of the greenhouse where it is not needed, whilst the corners may still dip to frosty temperatures. This is unsatisfactory because heating energy is being wasted. In addition, with cheaper heaters there can be a large difference in temperature between when a heater clicks on and when it clicks off.

This means that if the heater has a switching differential of +/-6°C then the greenhouse has to be heated up to +8°C just to be sure of keeping the greenhouse above the frost free limit of +2°C .

These Bio-green Electric heaters have thermostat accuracy of 0.5°C so the fluctuation is far less and little heat is wasted, (see graphs). Furthermore, they are fitted with a much more powerful fan, circulating up to 400 cubic metres of air per hour.This ensures that there are no cold pockets and it significantly reduces fungal problems and mildew etc. You can even use the fan on cold mode to circulate the air in the warmer months which again helps prevent mildew and aids plant pollination.
