Tests have shown that Gas heaters can cost up to 30% less to run than electric heaters. Size: 30cmwide by 13.5 cm deep by 40cm high.
The temperature is easy to control in your greenhouse with these heaters as it has an accurate thermostat. You simply light the pilot light, which stays on all the time, and when the thermostat determines its cold enough, the main burner will kick in.
You don't need any electric supply to run these heaters.
These gas heaters can sit on your pathway in the greenhouse, but it is recommended that they are screwed down to the floor for ectra safety. holes are provided in the unit for suitable anchoring points.
Of course, gas heaters give off CO2, which can be beneficial for plants, and water vapour which again can also be beneficial for plants.
Some serious growers combine gas heat (with the benefit of the CO2) and an electric fan, which will circulate the air and elimnate any of the more undesirable effects of excess watervapour (as well as help to distribute the heat evenly)
