The AGL/Halls Popular is the ideal starter greenhouse, combining practicality with excellent value for money. The aluminium frame is of a good quality and is versatile enough to be adapted for extra ventilation, painted finishes etc. If you are getting started in gardening or need a simple greenhouse to over-winter your plants or start a few cuttings then the popular is the answer. We strongly recommend that you upgrade to toughened safety glass. This is 5-8 times stronger than horticultural glass and if it does break it disintegrates into small pellets so that it is potentialy less harmful. The main advantage of toughened glass though is the fact that it is full length panes. Ordinary horticultural glass is in small (18" high) panes which have overlaps where they join. These can get filled with dirt and algae and become unsightly in time. By contrast toughened glass is in nice full length panes with no overlaps.
