We took delivery of our greenhouse last Spring and I have been absolutely delighted with it ever since. The delivery, instructions and packaging were excellent. My husband was able to to erect it by himself with just a little help. It's biggest test was in the recent winds and it proved just how stable it is in construction. A few panes blew out but remained unbroken. We have just taken delivery of the Bar Capping set just to be on the safe side. We can definitely recommend this company and greenhouse.

Everything was spot on delivery at the time stated. Took a weekend to put up and the instructions were spot on. We did not lay a base and (9 months later) it has not moved a millimetre - unsuprisingly the toughened glass weights a ton. The bar caps are definitely worth the money - glazing was a doddle. Hardest thing was fitting the louvre vent!

The first thing to say is a huge thank you to "The Greenhouse People" for their updating e mails, delivery (by them not by courier) and mostly to the delivery chap who scaled our steps to place the frame close to the proposed greenhouse site and who placed all the glass on timber runners, up against a wall and with polystyrene packing between the glass and the wall. Well done. Apologies for being away and not being there to help, my wife says you were great. You are supposed to read through the instructions before starting but I don't know anyone who does that. It was once explained to me that if you sat and read the rules to Monopoly you would be totally flummoxed but have a go and it all becomes clearer. My greenhouse had a base to go on grass or earth and was eight feet by six feet and I managed the whole thing unaided but can see where another pair of hands would be useful if the greenhouse was longer, especially when joining a side wall with an end wall. Wall sections have little weight to them before glazing and are easily handled and I found that resting each wall section on the base helped keep it in place while the appropriate fixings were made to join the walls together. Each double page of the instructions has a picture of the element that you are building, exploded diagrams of the joints and a parts list to tell you what should be involved. What makes things easier is that the overall pack of parts is sub divided and packed in elements (for example a wall) separately and these packs are numbered so you can't really go wrong. Inside each pack, each bar is individually numbered also. One thing I did early on was to go through the large bag of nuts bolts and covers and move all the covers to a separate bag to make it easier to find the nuts and bolts in the semi tipped out bag. Using both a ratchet socket wrench and a screwdriver that takes sockets, I soon rejected the wrench after over tightening nuts and snapping two bolts then praying there were spares. I needn't have worried incidentally. I liked the fact that where confusion could arise, say for instance you could have a bar with a plus sign as a cross section and not know which way around it goes, then there is only one way as if you try it the wrong way you find a channel or similar in the way. All the way through the construction I had the feeling that someone had tried out the instructions and where there could be confusion they had either changed the instructions or changed the cross section of the bar until the improvement had been made and confusion eliminated. It wasn't until the glazing stage that I realised that said channels are actually where the glass rests so, if you know this at the outset then it makes life easier to realise that those glazing channels face outward to take the glass and this helps in positioning plus section bars. I only had one minor moment of confusion when I had completed the greenhouse front (the wall with the door in it) and found that I had a dreaded two pieces of bar left over. I noted the numbers on the bars and flicked forward in the instructions to find the table with the part numbers on and realised that they were the bars that hold the sliding door at the top but are not put on at that stage. Having bought my greenhouse in Autumn to get a good price I found the disadvantage of trying to find a couple of days without high winds, in November, so that I could glaze the constructed shell and then concrete in the legs to the base that were sitting in holes, before a wind blew the whole thing over. The instructions recommend doing things in this order so that the bars can move a bit, if necessary, during glazing, before the final anchor is put into place. I then needed a dry day to add the glazing pads before glazing as the instructions have a large, crossed out H2O next to the pads. Take note from the instructions that these pads run along the vertical bars only. 10 anchors were shown on the instructions but more were in the pack so I kept going until they ran out and thoroughly locked the structure down to the metal base. I also had two opening vents and these were small enough to construct on the living room carpet, in the dry, in the warm, with my coat off - bliss. My tip on glazing is to study carefully the glazing clip diagram. I didn't and found them hard to put in at first. What the diagram is telling you is that the zig-zag side of the clip is placed in the edge of the frame and then the other end of the clip (the right angled end) is slid across the glass until it drops into place. Work from the most awkward part of the greenhouse towards the pane that is easiest to get to. I worked from a platform inside the greenhouse with my head through the roof leaning over each pane to clip it on its furthest side. The louvre vent confused me for a bit. I didn't want it on the end opposite the door as that faces north and would form cold drafts. Placing it near the floor on the side was impossible due to the supporting angled cross bars. The answer (see photo) was to place the large pane at the bottom, the vent above it and the small pane (that was supposed to be at the bottom) placed on the top of the vent. All in all a good buy that I am very pleased with. I would, and will, recommend The Greenhouse People to anyone who asks me how things went. Right then, winter lettuce in, roll on Spring.

I bought one of these razor hoes some time ago and my first reaction was it looked too small. How wrong I was. It's a brilliant tool which is great at breaking up compacted ground, digging out soil to make planting holes etc. In fact I had to buy a second one to stop arguments as we both loved the hoe so much. We just had to have one each!!!

Very nice solid greenhouse, I have toughened glass and bar capping. The only thing I would say is unless you're experienced with building greenhouses, don't even think of installing it yourself. It took about 5 days, was much more complicated than I thought, and also feels a little dangerous in that you're playing around with large sheets of heavy glass. The instructions are not that easy to understand and are not 100% accurate.

Good value for money along with the glass stops used to fix our very old greenhouse.

Helpful customer support and additional instructional tip sheets made it easy to put together. My tip - take your time and study the parts list against the picture sheets. I actually enjoyed putting it up and the green blends in well against the side of the house. Good buy.

Heater received very quickly. Works as described and appears good for the price. Only negative was the size of the plug which was so bulky it wouldn't fit in the waterproof socket in our greenhouse, I had to chop it off and put a smaller one on.

Really pleased with this - well designed and the assembly instructions made a complicated process relatively easy to do. Still took me three days to build, but it was worth it. Two missing panes of glass were immediately couriered to me without fuss.

Very pleased with the prompt and efficient service. The clips were perfect for the job of replacing my greenhouse glass.
