The best type of gas for this heater is Propane (red canister), Butane (blue canister) will freeze in winter. Please note both Propane and Butane are often referred to as LPG.

A. This heater will use in the region of 220grams of propane per hour that it is heating. The pilot light uses only a negligible amount.
