Q. I have been advised that a greenhouse heater would be worth putting into my caravan (two berth, smallish van) during the winter, to reduce condensation and mustiness building up (not serious but ideally not desired at all). Is this product suitable for such a use and how beneficial would it be relative to what I am trying to achieve? Also, at what tepm should I set the thermostat so it comes on at most appropriate times (e.g. would that be when temperature is getting down towards zero?). The van is stored beside my house and I could easily have it connected to my electricity supply. Thank you, Mike
A. The Slimline Green Eco Heater - 190W Tube heater would be suitable for the purpose you suggest. Maybe you could set the thermostat on low so that the heater kicks in at about 4 degrees Centigrade.
Q. Can you set the temperature on this heater so it kicks in and turns off automatically?
A. They have a dial high-low so you can set it and it will turn on and off but you wont know the temperature your setting it on from the dial. Its best to use these in conjunction with a digital thermometer.

Having disposed of my old greenhouse heater I contacted and ordered the Hylite eco heater. After a couple of days I decided that a 2kw Fan heater was want I required for my 8x 6 greenhouse. Your customer service is great, arranging for the new heater to arrive within a couple of days, and arranging to collect the original order. The fan heater is exactly what I wanted and is working great and would recommend anyone who requires anything like this to use yourselves. Many thanks again... John

I'm using it in a shed in which I keep birds to keep the temperature no lower than 5 degrees C. I feel safe using it as it is low voltage and fully enclosed. I have put a wire mesh guard around it for extra safety so that the birds can't perch on it. Works perfectly for what I bought it for.
