These mats come with a small warming cable attached at the perfect spacing for even heating. To use, you need only roll the mat out, cover with foil and place your plants on top whether they are in seed trays, pots, roottrainers or anything the heat mat will provide the steady warmth neccesary for germination or the striking of cuttings.
The thermostat is highly accurate 0 - 40c (to half a degree) and comes with a remote probe- you can insert the probe into the relevent compost in the sed tray for pinpoint accuracy exactly where you need it.
These heat mats are available in a range of sizes to suit your needs and have a 3 year guarantee.
It's easy to roll up and put away once you've finished using it- unlike a normal soil warming cable which you tend to have to leave in a pernament dedicated bench.
All the propagating advantages of the soil warming cable but is far easier to use because the warming cable is attached to a mat with optimal spacing. Simply roll out the mat onto your bench, cover with a layer of soil or sand and plug in.
Put your seed tray on top and place the remote probe thermostat into the compost.This arrangement ensures that the temperature of the compost in which your plants are actually growing is regulated by the thermostat, rather than the bed of sand underneath the seed tray.

Good product, used to create warm box for moving on seedlings, not expensive yo run, very fast efficient delivery

Good construction quality; the heating element is enclosed in a plastic coated aluminium foil sheet and the thermostat controller is well made. The only drawback is that (as the instructions heavily emphasise) the sheet must not be rolled any tighter than 10" in diameter and NEVER creased.

A great product, recommended for those wanting to get off to a flying start! has made a big difference to our home growns, giving us bigger healthier plants a few weeks early, which, in a few months, will hopefully pay dividends with our chillies, aubergines and peppers which need a long growing season.
