This newly developed fan heater is ideal for use in your greenhouse or other outbuilding. The strong metal casing is powdercoated in an attractive Anthracite colour, and will outperform the plastic cases of rival heaters. Inside is a stainless steel heating element and good quality fan which circulates c.186m3 per hour ensuring that the temperature in your greenhouse is kept relatively even all over the greenhouse by the good movement of air.
In order to be safe for greenhouse use, new regulations state that greenhouse heaters should be IPX4 rated or above, meaning that if they encounter some wet conditions or splashing they should be safe. This model is IPX4 rated.
You can use this heater as a fan only (in summer) or you can set the switch to 1kW heat or 2kW heat depending on how big your greenhouse is. There is also a thermostat included which can be adjusted and the heater will click off when the desired setting is reached. We recommend that you use the heater in conjunction with a max min thermometer in your greenhouse, to help you fine- tune your set-up.
We are often asked what size greenhouse this heater will heat and there is no definite answer for that, as it depends on how cold it is outside and how warm you want it in the greenhouse. As a general guide, a 2kW will heat up to an 8x12 greenhouse, possibly a little bigger if you only want it frost free. If you are pushing the borderline with this, then take extra measures during a very cold snap (e.g -10 at night) such as adding more heat or turning the thermostat up to allow a bigger buffer during the coldest part of the night.

Q. This is an interesting offer, but is it overkill for the 6 x 4 ft. greenhouse I bought from you last year?
A. The heater has a 1kW setting for the smaller greenhouse and a thermostat allowing the heater to cut in and out to maintain a steady temperature (just above zero at the lowest thermostat setting).

Q. How "just above zero" is that please? What will be the temperature level if set at minimum?
A. The thermostat will cut in at 4- 6 degrees on its lowest setting
Q. Is the fan on permanently, when heater in use or does this switch on and off with the heating element
A. The fan will switch off once the heater reaches the temperature it is set to on the right hand dial. It will then switch back on once the temperature drops.
Q. How much noise does it make? Can you have tea with friends in the room?
A. Hello, the heater isn't noisy as such but you can hear the fan going when the heater is on. You would easily be able to have a conversation over it.
Q. I need a longer cable than 1.3 m
A. Hello, unfortunately we don't have that heater available with a longer cable.
Q. How long is the heater guaranteed for?
A. Hello, this heater has a 12 month warantee.
Q. Is this suitable for use with an independant thermostat probe. I use an Inkbird ITC-308 Digital Temperature Controller Thermostat Dual Relays Heating Cooling switch which allows me to control the temperature in a specific area but would switch off the power to the heater immediately the temperature was reached.
A. Hello, in theory you should you be able to however it is worth checking with the manufacture of the thermostat that is it compatible with any heaters.
Q. Will this be sufficient for a an 8’ x 12’ glass greenhouse please
A. Hello, it will definitely be able to keep it frst free but it may struggle to heat it fully. You could be better worth a 3kw for that size if you also want to heat it.
Q. I have just purchased this heater to use with 6’x 8’ Simplicity Classic greenhouse. Should I use 1kw or 2kw ?
A. Hello, 2kw will be fine in a 6x8 during the winter but if you do find it too warm you can always use the 1kw option.

Brilliant so far. This arrived in 24 hours which I did not expect. Allowed me to move my seedlings out which were taking over my house.

This is a well-made product, of sturdy construction. I like the external thermostat fixed above the airflow giving a more accurate temperature reading. The greenhouse thermometer has given a consistently lowest reading each night, showing that the heater is doing the job. Delivery was 8.30 the following morning, can't complain about that.

I bought this as a replacement for my heater which had broken. I asked the staff at Greenhouse People which make and model would be suitable for my greenhouse and placed my order. It arrived when expected and is working well. I no longer worry about the effects of frost on my heat sensitive plants.
