From Lilacs to Tulips, British gardens are full of plants collected and introduced to the country from across the globe. In fact, it’s possible to have plants from practically every continent, all in one garden.

 

You might be surprised by which common plants aren’t native, many of which we’ve grown up with. Much like the Peony, which has been cultivated in China for over 4,000 years, but can be traced back to 1548, when it started appearing in 15th-century paintings across Britain.
