Timber Ecoshield is a high quality water based coating that uses the latest nanotechnology to produce a waterproof finish that is perfect for protecting your new timber building. It will make your shed a little bit richer in colour after two coats.

Official coverage rate is 10-12 m2 per litre per coat. This means that one tin should be about right to do two coats on your shed (unless its a very large model) The ecoshield is very environmentally friendly, being water based and is also really easy to rinse off your brush when finished.

We recommend that you apply this to your shed as soon as you can after assembly and either before you put the corner trims on or if not, then remove the corner trims so that the treatment will cover the end grain of the planks that are exposed at the corners. Similarly be sure to coat the top and bottom end grain of the door.

Timber ecoshield is quite a thin  constancy which makes it quite easy to paint on quickly. You should always brush in the direction of the grain. When it dries, which is quite quick, it will be very repellent to water and so, you will need to put the second coat on immediately otherwise it will repel itself!
